Johannes Thinges Boe Announces His Retirement

Today in Ruhpholding Johannes Thinges Boe announced he will end his career in Holmenkollen in March this year.

Johannes is one of the most sucesful biathlon racers of all time, with 20 World Championships titles, 5 Olympic gold medals and 5 total score titles – he also leads the BMW IBU World Cup this year.

It was previosuly though that Johannes Thinges Boe would retire after the Olympic Games in Milan Cortina next year however he states it not enough for him to keep going for another year.

He has been on the podium 206 times in 348 World Cup race starts – this means he has a 60% win rate.
